OH Cards

What better way to stimulate self-awareness, insight, expression, imagination, creativity and communication than with beautiful, unusual and sometimes challenging images...

What does this combination of word and picture mean to you? There is no right or wrong, there are no predetermined meanings and interpretations...whatever you see in the cards is intuitively about yourself...

What does this image say to you about the resources you have drawn upon in the past to cope with trauma, or the methods you could use in the future?

Therapy Today article - "Healing trauma with metaphoric cards" by Dr. Ofra Ayalon

What is this person thinking and feeling? What is this person's background and culture? How would you respond to everyday situations and life challenges, and how would you relate to other people, if you were in this person's shoes? Imagine the dialogues and the dramatic scenes that could bring this image to life... Imagine the understanding and acceptance that could result from this exploration...

What do you see in this abstract arrangement of colour and line? I had a 5 year old client randomly pick one of these cards in a session some time ago. The card was not unlike this one - totally abstract - just colour and lines. She saw in the image, her family having a picnic under a tree in which a bird was sitting... I didn't see it at all, but I didn't need to... The important thing was that the child's mother, who was in the room, understood what was being communicated...
